Thematic Issues and Publication Format
The series publishes special thematic issues and conference proceedings that address current research trends across all fields of materials science and engineering. Publication follows a continuous publication model, allowing each paper to appear online immediately after successful peer review and acceptance, without waiting for the completion of the full issue or volume.

Academic Standards and Research Integrity
The series upholds international standards of scientific publishing and strict research integrity principles. Submitted manuscripts must demonstrate originality, scientific rigor, and reproducibility of results. Each submission undergoes originality verification using professional plagiarism-detection software. Authors are required to provide detailed descriptions of experimental methods, data sources, and analytical procedures, ensuring transparency and repeatability of research findings. Disclosure of funding sources, conflicts of interest, and author contributions is mandatory.

Editorial Structure of Thematic Issues
Each thematic issue or conference volume is supervised by an appointed Guest Editor or editorial team, who define the scientific scope of the issue, oversee the review process, and ensure compliance with the series’ editorial and ethical policies. Guest Editors collaborate closely with the permanent Editorial Board and the Dela Press editorial office to maintain the highest academic standards.

Peer Review Process
All submissions undergo double-blind peer review, ensuring impartial and independent evaluation. Possible editorial decisions include: accept, accept with minor revisions, revise and resubmit, or reject. The final publication decision is made based on reviewers’ reports and the Guest Editor’s recommendation, followed by technical and ethical compliance verification by the editorial office.

Open Access Policy
All works are published under an open access model, ensuring that the full text of every article is freely available to readers worldwide. Articles can be read, downloaded, and distributed without restriction. Copyright and reuse rights are governed by a Creative Commons license, with the specific license type indicated on each article’s webpage. This policy promotes global visibility and accelerates the dissemination of research outcomes in materials science and engineering.

Identifiers, Metadata, and Long-Term Availability
Each publication is assigned full bibliographic metadata and a persistent digital identifier, ensuring accurate citation, indexing, and long-term accessibility. Articles are formatted with machine-readable metadata for seamless integration into international databases, repositories, and digital libraries.

Call for Contributions and Guest Editors
The series invites researchers, engineers, and conference organizers to contribute to upcoming thematic issues and conference proceedings in all areas of materials science and engineering, including but not limited to: materials processing and characterization, functional and structural materials, nanomaterials, polymers, ceramics, metallurgy, computational modeling, and applied engineering disciplines.

Experienced scholars are also welcome to act as Guest Editors, defining the scientific focus of an issue, coordinating the peer review process, and ensuring that all accepted works meet the series’ editorial and ethical requirements.
Proposals for thematic issues or editorial collaborations may be submitted to the Editorial Office at any time. Each proposal is evaluated for its scientific relevance, originality, and contribution to the development of materials science and engineering research.
